Dive Sites:
You can enjoy at least 20 various diving sites for all level of experience. The underwater fauna in our dive sites is very abundant, unlike other diving places Canary Islands are not overfished. We avoid to dive in the polluted areas around Las Americas.

Abades Playa
Depth: 0-9 m
Level: all levels, night dives, PADI school & trial dives as well, very easy access
Characteristics: lots of small colorful fish, seahorse, barracuda, moray eel, cuttlefish, octopus, sea hare & cucumbers, triggerfish at spring, abundant UW vegetation on the rocks, sea grass on sandy areas ... and a shy green turtle since september 2007.

Abades Cave & Barracuda Point
Depth: 10-18 m (40 with UW scooters)
Level: all levels from the 4th dive Open Water Course, very easy access
Characteristics: barracuda, sardine, stingray, eagle ray, angel shark, trumpet fish, garden eel, grouper, sponges and sea urchins covering rock formations, small caves, sea grass on sandy areas

Abades Mountain
15 min. with UW scooters
Depth: 18 m
Level: easy dive if no wave and no surfacing, strong currents below 20 m.
Characteristics: grunt (big schools), trumpet fish, glasseye, stingray, eagle ray, angel sharks, sponges and sea urchins covering rock formations below 5 m depth, small caves.

Level: boots required, easy dive
Characteristics: sardine, garden eel, octopus, UW vegetation in the first 3 m, sponges and sea urchins covering the rock formation deeper, rays and angel sharks spotted outside bay

Wreck Tabaiba
25 minutes drive from Abades, 5 min. from Santa Cruz
Depth: 18-32 m for Advanced Divers
Level: easy wreck dive with easy access
Characteristics: pelagic UW life spotted occasionally, barracudas, sardins garden eels. Excellent for wreck specialty. Ship was sunk in 2006

Punta Prieta
15 min. drive from Abades
Depth: 30-40 m
Level: boots required, DEEP dive, difficult entry if rough sea, currents
Characteristics: corals from 30m, moray eel, stingray, sardine, frogfish, seahorse, trigger fish, school of grunts, pelagic fish spotted occasionally, small caves, sponges and sea urchins covering rock formations

Las Eras 10 min. drive from Abades
Depth: 16-40 m
Level: boots required, difficult entry/exit point when rough sea, way back against strong current sometimes, easy to difficult dive depending on the sea condition
Characteristics: trumpet fish, barracuda, tuna and pelagic fish occasionally, octopus, moray eel, garden eel at depth, stingray, nice wall with many small caves and tunnels, UW vegetation covering the rock formations between 0 and 18 m.

Poris old Mans Cove
10 minutes drive from Abades
Depth: 0-20 m
Level: Intermediate, boots required
Characteristics: rocky bottom with drops from 8 to 12 m and from 14 to 18 m, small cave and overhangs, electric ray, stingray, grouper, glass eyes, angelshark, barracuda, possible strong current at depth

Los Abrigos Cliff
15 Minutes drive from Abades
Depth: 0-8 m
Level: Medium experience required
Characteristics: excellent dive for macro-photography, abundant colorful small life on the rocks, stingray, many interesting overhang with a beautiful "swim-through" under the cliff

El Palm Mar
25 minutes drive from Abades
Depth: 0-40 m for PADI divers
Level: boots required, UW scooter recommended, entry at high tide only, deep dive, medium experience required
Characteristics: varying visibility due to surrounding fish farms and many diving centres diving on this site, entry to deep caves, many moray eels above the cave, stingray, early dive to be there before the other divers

Depth: 0-12 m
Level: All levels, trial dives as well
Characteristics: varying visibility due to surrounding fish farms and low life but excellent Green Turtles feeding spot ... Turtles might take your fingers for a fish, so beware of the bites
